Muay Thai is a martial arts form that blends techniques such as; kicks, knees, elbows, punches, and clinch work. Muay Thai (also known as Thai Boxing) is a fighting art that originated in Thailand (formerly Siam) 2000 years ago. Often called the “Toughest ring sport in the world,” it is also known as the art of eight weapons for its powerful techniques of punching (boxing) and kicks delivered by the wrists, elbows, knees, and shins. The Muay Thai practitioner must have superior speed and conditioning through hard training.

Classes will involve the use of shadow boxing, footwork skills, padwork, heavy bag training, and various partner coordination drills. Traditionally, fighters all over the world seek Muay Thai to improve their effectiveness, and give themselves the edge in the ring. Here at ATT, this class is known for its awesome fitness and conditioning, as well as martial technique and strategy. ATT Muay Thai is the perfect stand up striking class that provides the student with the tools they need for the ring although you may plan to never fight.

Muay Thai has also come to attract the female audience and became the darling of women in the American Top Team. In addition to burning calories, Muay Thai teaches many self-defense methods and provides numerous health benefits. Every Tuesday and Thursday we have Muay Thai Kickboxing lessons at 9am for all levels. In the afternoon we have the Fundamentals class which is the beginner class at 6:30 pm and the Advanced class at 7:30 pm.
